MyLoanMath is a set of free, instant calculators for the number and money problems people run into regularly — converting a number into words for a legal document, writing a cheque correctly, working out a loan payment, or estimating federal income tax.
Most calculator sites either bury useful tools behind clutter and ads, or don't explain the "why" behind the number they give you. MyLoanMath is built around two ideas: every tool should be fast and require no sign-up, and every tool should include a real explanation of the calculation behind it, not just a bare answer box.
Every calculator on this site is tested against independently published reference figures before being published — loan and mortgage math is checked against standard amortization formulas, and tax calculators are verified against official government-published worked examples (IRS Revenue Procedure figures for the US calculator, CRA-published figures for the Canadian calculator) before going live. Tax brackets and thresholds are tied to a specific tax year, clearly labeled on each tax calculator page, with a "last verified" date — because these figures change annually and we want it to be clear at a glance how current the numbers are.
These tools are educational calculators, not financial, tax, or legal advice. See our Terms of Use & Disclaimer for the full detail — in short, for decisions that matter, verify with a qualified professional.
Every calculation runs in your browser. Nothing you type into any tool on this site is sent to a server or stored anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Questions, corrections, or feedback about a calculator's accuracy are welcome. This site is independently built and maintained.
